As members of the Primary Care team, Nurse Practitioners have advanced education and decision-making skills which permit them to address many of your health care needs. They can order certain tests, drugs and treatments and consult with a physician from the Primary Care team if a medical problem goes beyond the NP’s scope of practice. Their scope of practice is governed by the College of Nurses and various Health Care Acts.
Nurse Practitioners are also involved in a variety of educational activities for which they provide ongoing clinical support. They consult with community resources or other agencies to promote your needs or support your efforts if necessary; in other words they advocate for you.
As part of the Woolwich Community Health Centre’s ongoing interest in how you perceive your care, we would like to ask for your thoughts about the Nurse Practitioners’ services. Please take a moment to answer the following questions. Your responses will help us evaluate the care you receive from our NPs, as well as your understanding of their role.
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback.
